Simple Care for Your Wood Piece
A few simple habits help keep your walnut box looking its best. For any treatment that could change the finish, ask us first so you do not have to guess.
Everyday dusting
Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth, moving with the grain. Avoid rough sponges and all-purpose cleaning sprays.
If a spill happens
Blot it promptly rather than rubbing it across the wood. If needed, wipe with a barely damp cloth, then dry fully. Never soak the box or leave water around seams.
Give it the right spot
Keep it away from prolonged direct sun, heaters and hot objects. Leave room for air to circulate instead of placing it against a damp wall.
During humid weather
Choose a dry, ventilated room. Avoid bathrooms and other consistently damp spaces; check that stored jewelry is dry before closing the box.
Before using oil or wax
Not every finish needs the same treatment. Please ask us which finish your box has before applying oil, wax or polish.
For scratches or stains
Take a clear photo before trying sandpaper, solvents or home remedies. Send it to us so we can suggest a gentler next step.
